Founded by Yosuke Jikuhara, Miki Takeda and Yasuo Mitsumori in 2003, COCHAE is now known as an 'origami graphic' trio. They have been producing a lot of beautiful origami products and their wide-ranging creativities include even the production of toys from a new point of view.
One of the famous origami products they have ever created is this traditional Russian matryoschka doll named 'orimato'. It is a charming origami family, great as either gifts or decoration. You can fold up their faces and store all of the family members inside the mother.
Another interesting origami product is called Koten and this is a brand-new 'traditional' origami that combines the ancient Japanese art of origami with ukiyo-e patterns. It's their homage to the illustrated origami from the Taisho Period, known as Chieno Origami. koten is a cochae origami classic loved by all age groups.
